January 2005 - A few dates have been added to the
Freeloaders gigs section. The band will be
performing three gigs alongside David Sneddons
band The Sham. All three gigs are in the
Yorkshire area, late February. Also, the official
Freeloaders website has had a redesign, and is
now promoting their first download single, being
released 20th February 2005, and the site also
mentions ringtones being made available for
download too.
31st
October 2004 - A review of the Silver Bear
Concert can be found in the Freeloaders Gigs
section, including a few very fuzzy pictures...
11th
September 2004 - Some reviews of Nigel's latest
Look North Music Biz peices can now be found in
the Gigs section.
7th
August 2004 - A review of The Freeloaders debut
ablum, THE BEGINin Sheffield, has now been added
to the 'shop' section. It includes a
full track listing. I have also added a new verse
to the 'Tracks' poem, so it now includes all
the track titles from the single and the album.
6th
August 2004 - A review of The Freeloaders Deep
End gig in Sheffield last night can now be found
in the gigs section. I have a copy of
their album, so will add a review of that soon.
22nd
July 2004 - A new crossword has been added to
the fun section. Also, a new merchant has been
added to the site, Musicroom. They sell music books,
tutorials, sheet music and accessories, for a
wide variety of instruments.
17th
July 2004 - The Freeloaders on Tour
this summer!!!
Information on a couple of gigs have been added
to The Freeloaders gigs page in the gigs section.
Hints at more dates to come...... I'll add any
more confirmed dates when I find out about them!
Also, they have
confirmed that they intend to perform at The
Silver Bear Concert in October at The Clapham
Grand in London. Information can be found as
above, on The Freeloaders gigs page.
And lastly, I have
tested the Feedback Form, and it appears to work
okay, so if you want to share your thoughts on
this site with me, feel free to give it a try.
27th
June 2004 - I have now finished adding the
new navigation bar, and tidying up the pages, so
they should all look the same at the top and the
bottom now!! I have also added a little review of
Alistair Griffin's debut album to the FA Shop section. A feedback form
has been added, but is still in the experimental
stage, if it works I'Il keep it, if not I'll have
to go back to the drawing board...
Also, since the
previous update, I have added a new , and
exclusive, graphic to the Lizzie
Lake's World MakeMyMegastore. It's an artsy picture
featuring 16 images of Nigel in different colours
. It's should be large enough for a reasonable A3
print, and as it has a white background, it
should look pretty good on t-shirts etc. I have
also added pre-prepared products for a canvas
tote bag and an umbrella, so there is lots to
choose from. If there is a product you would
like, but can't figure out how to get the images
onto them, then feel free to drop me an email and
I'll do what I can to help. Pre-prepared products
can be found under the 'shop' heading after going
to the Lizzie Lake's World MakeMyMegastore site.
24th
June 2004 - A new shop is now
available through MakeMyMegastore. It
includes some extra Rocky merchandise aswell as a
few other items exclusive to this site. Plus a
few more merchants have been added to the Merchant
Review page.
17th
May 2004 - I have added a new poem to the
poetry section, entitled Tracks. The point of the poem is
to include two or three of Nigel's self penned
track titles in each verse, therefore it could
all get rather weird and confusing, and is an
ongoing piece.
I still haven't
heard any news with regards gigs, or any other
progress,..... fingers crossed for something
positive soon !
26th
April 2004 - I'm gradually adding the
new nav bar, and tidying up a few pages. There is
now a crossword section via the fun pages. ...if
you can't access the JavaScript nav bar below the
header, there is a plain text navigation at the
bottom of every page!
29th
March 2004 - There's not been much activity
recently.... The latest on the site is the
introduction of a Rocky the Rock Star store to
help towards the running costs of this site. More
details can be found here.
There's been no
news from Nigel. I will try to find out if any
more gigs have been booked.....
I've got so much
work to do on this site.... I think it's spring,
I've got the re-organising bug.... I shall be
playing with writing my own javascript navigation
bar, oh joy, oh fun, run for the hills..... I
will test it before using it!
30th
January 2004 - Nigel and David Sneddon were on
Radio Ulster recently, invited by Malachi Cush,
who was hosting the Just Jones show for a couple
of weeks. There is a review of the shows on the
postingboard, and in the gigs section. The most
important thing to mention here is an announcement
that Nigel made with regards to his new band :
The
Freeloaders will be touring from March
2004, with a gig booked in Manchester on the 11th
March thus far.
Keep an eye out
for more information on upcoming gigs :-) I hope
he manages to get a venue somewhere near to
me....
I have also
finally updated the Look North page, so that is
now complete. And an off-site quiz has been added
to the quiz page, which offers the opportunity to
enter some prize draws. The one I've linked to is
the Music quiz, but there are other subjects too.
The only downside to those quizzes is that you
get bombarded with advertising. They're quite
good fun all the same.
2nd
January 2004 - Happy New Year - A few new links have
been added to the 'Other FA Artists' merchandise page.
