Nigel and David
Sneddon visited there old Fame Academy friend
Malachi while he was hosting the Just Jones show
on Radio Ulster. The three of them seemed to have
a great time :-)

Nigel
was the first to be introduced, and a request
from Lady M was read out. As it was her birthday
at the weekend Nigel sent her his greetings, but
that wasn't good enough for Malachi, who promptly
started singing Happy Birthday and Nigel joined
in.
Our fave rocker
had his guitar with him, and was allowed to sing
us an un-plugged accoustic of one of his own
songs, called 'Something Happened'. It's about
when he first met his wife Mel, aaawww bless.
It's not an upbeat rocky track, definately a soft
ballady one. Not bad....
Nigel also
announced his new band 'The Freeloaders', and
said they will be commencing a tour in March,
with one venue booked so far, being Manchester on
the 11th March.
David then joined
the fray. It seems he's had an invite to the
Grammy's, which Nigel was rather envious of !!
;-) They talked about his future plans, and he
hasn't ruled out the possibility of recording
again, or doing a few gigs. There is even the
possibility of a reunion with 'The Martians' for
a few gigs.
David then played
'Don't Let Go' on the piano in the other booth.
He's darn good live....
Malachi invited
them both to return on the Friday, which they
both agreed to do....
Friday
23rd January 2004
Nigel and David returned to the radio booth for
more banter with Malachi on his last show
covering for George Jones. Malachi played one of
Nigel's demo tracks, 'Stranger'. This was written
a year ago, and was supposed to be his first
single, but that never happended (sniff..) It's
quite a catchy tune, a ballad again, but a bit
more rocky than 'Something Happened'.
There was various
banter and other guests popping in, and
eventaully David returned to the piano and played
'Stop Living The Lie'.
All in all it
sounded like they had a great time, and it was
good to hear some of Nigel's original tracks
being played on the radio.
