My copy finally
arrived on 9th June 2003. I was still in
bed when my dad got back from bowling,
and he promptly woke me up to tell me I
had a package from America!!! Suffice it
to say, I got up!!!

| The title track, 'Walking
In Your Shadow', is a
classic soft rock style anthem
track, with a catchy chorus, and
a story to follow. Although I
vaguely remembered the chorus
from the live performance Nigel
gave at the Baths Hall gig back
in March, it didn't grab me
straight away. The track starts
off fairly quietly, then kicks in
with a rockier backing. I have
played the single a fair few
times today to get a good feel
for both tracks, and it has grown
on me alot already, and I'm
happily singing along to it.
'Walking In Your Shadow' has
anthem potential in my opinion,
and is best listened to with the
volume up a bit. A good solid
soft rock track. The second track, 'Would
We Hear', has a far
softer spookier edge to it. It's
style reminds me a bit of the
classic Mike & The Mechanics
tracks, such as Silent Running,
and Living Years. 'Would We Hear'
is about a breakdown in
communication between two people,
which is something I'm sure all
of us can relate to. Again, I
think this track has anthem
potential, a definate grower
after hearing it a few times.
I should
point out that tracks that tend
to grab me from the off, tend to
start annoying me quite quickly
too. The fact that these are
'growers' that get better each
time you listen to them is a good
thing. I'm not likely to get
bored of them, or get fed up of
them. They are both very
listenable and don't take any
style to the extreme. Well done
Nigel !!!

| Although this
Mini-CD Single is not cheap, as a
fan of Nigel's, I am quite happy
spending the money to buy it. I
am now looking forward to an
album! |
